INTERNAL I-9 AUDIT: TRAINING FOR HUMAN RESOURCES
OCTOBER 24, 2018 • 1:00 PM EDT
The Form I-9 is used to verify the identity and legal authorization to work of all paid employees in the United States, including US citizens. The Form appears deceptively simple but is fraught with potential compliance issues including all-time high civil penalties for non-compliance. Given the intensification of worksite enforcement efforts under the Trump administration, it is crucial for employers to assess their I-9 records and practices with an internal audit.
This FREE webinar will provide training on how to develop an effective I-9 audit in-house. The session will discuss best practice tips for conducting the internal audit, the most common mistakes in completing Form I-9 and self audit Do’s and Don’ts.
This webinar will be presented by Alexandra Michailov, chair of Shulman Rogers’ Immigration Practice. She delivers exceptional results for clients with cross-border immigration matters, with particular emphasis on mobility of key foreign executives, international entrepreneurs and foreign nationals with extraordinary ability. Her record of delivering favorable outcomes on immigration matters has gained her recognition as a Rising Star on the list of Washington D.C. Super Lawyers.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about how to join the webinar.
